Undergraduate Research Symposium scheduled for April 11-12

Mark your calendars for theĀ Undergraduate Research Spring Symposium on April 11-12.

The event is open to all undergraduate students engaged in faculty mentored research and creative discovery. Abstract submissions will be organized into the following categories: Biological and Life Sciences; Physical Sciences; Social Sciences; Engineering; Business and Economics; Education; Humanities; and Arts, Music and Design.

Everyone is welcome to attend and view the student research. Visitors are encouraged to fill out and leave comment cards for student presenters. For a full schedule, visitĀ .

For the Spring Symposium, we areĀ seeking faculty and graduate student helpĀ in providing student presenters with feedback on their projects. If you can devote a couple hours, please signĀ up:Ā Ā 

The Office of Research and Economic Development provides smallĀ grants of up to $2,000Ā to foster innovative, faculty-directed research opportunities for
undergraduate students. Funds can be used to support student wages, materials and supplies, or for other research related expenses from June 2024 to August
2025. Applications are being accepted now and areĀ due April 14. Learn more and apply atĀ

Faculty are encouraged to utilize available resources on theĀ Undergraduate Research and Creative Discovery website at . Here one can submit details about a research project on a portal undergraduate students access and search; sign up for research connections email; view and/or submit kudos for the undergraduate student research spotlight; use resources designed for faculty mentors; share resources designed for undergraduate student researchers; peruse research symposium archives and past abstract booklets.
